Slasher: Ripper Hits The Big Screen At Free Advance Screaming Before Hollywood Suite Premiere

Two episodes to screen at Toronto’s Revue Cinema on March 31, followed by Q&A

Toronto. February 24, 2023 — Hollywood Suite and Shaftesbury are pleased to invite horror lovers to a one-night-only free sneak preview of the new season of hit horror anthology Slasher on March 31, 2023 at 6:45pm at the Revue Cinema. The advance “screaming” of the first two episodes of Slasher: Ripper will thrill audiences with free popcorn and soft drinks, prizes, and genuinely terrifying photo ops with this season’s villain, The Widow! Free tickets are available while supplies last on Eventbrite.

The highly anticipated Slasher: Ripper starring Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), will premiere Thursday, April 6, exclusively on Hollywood Suite in Canada, with new episodes premiering Thursdays at 9pm ET. Each episode will be available on Hollywood Suite On Demand following its premiere.

The new season takes the Slasher franchise back in time to the late 19th century with Eric McCormack as Basil Garvey, a charismatic tycoon whose success is only rivaled by his ruthlessness, as he oversees a city on the cusp of a new century, and a social upheaval that will see its streets run red with blood. There’s a killer on the loose, but instead of targeting the poor and downtrodden like Jack the Ripper, The Widow is meting out justice against the rich and powerful. The only person standing in the way of this killer is the newly promoted detective, Kenneth Rijkers, whose ironclad belief in justice may wind up being yet another victim of The Widow.

Produced by Shaftesbury, the new season of Slasher is executive produced by Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie, Thomas P. Vitale, Aaron Martin, Ian Carpenter and Adam Macdonald. Canadian Slasher fans can currently stream Slasher: Flesh & Blood, which was released last fall and stars horror icon David Cronenberg, on Hollywood Suite On Demand.
