A decapitated gift sends Kenneth to the home of Basil where he is berated for his incompetence. With help from a disgraced Botticelli sister, Kenneth is able to find a photograph of the event that led to Margaret’s death and pinpoint the exact identity of the Widow. Basil arrives at the church for his wedding to Verdi and is surprised by an uninvited guest from beyond the grave.
